Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor
Required Qualifications
MD/DO Degree. Board Certified or Board Eligible and Fellowship trained in Otolaryngology
and eligible for, or have a license to practice medicine in New York State. The candidate
will have demonstrated clinical and research capabilities, interest and experience
in teaching and supervision of undergraduate, medical students and residents.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an academic medical facility with an active clinical practice. Demonstrated
experience in research and the mentoring of residents and medical students. Publications
and clinical experience in Otolaryngology/Laryngology, Rhinology/Sinus Surgery and
Neuro-otology.
Responsibilities & Requirements
The Stony Brook University Department of Surgery and the Division of Otolaryngology
is recruiting an attending at the level of Clinical Assistant Professor to serve the
medical needs of currently underserved population on Long Island. The individual will
work closely with the surgeons in the division as well as the Department of Surgery.
Interest in development of a laryngology practice both in the hospital setting as
well as the community. Interest in research and the mentoring of residents and medical
students. Publications and clinical experience in the field of Otolaryngology/Laryngology,
Rhinology/Sinus Surgery and Neuro-otology.
Special Notes
This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime
provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
