Graduate Council Fellowship Nomination Procedures
Graduate Council Fellowships (GCF) are available to exceptionally qualified incoming doctoral and MFA students. These fellowships are available to U.S. citizens and permanent residents only.
GCF candidates are nominated by their graduate programs, with nominations due by the end of January. The Graduate Council Fellowships and Awards Committee assesses and ranks candidates' files around mid-February. Approximately 35 fellowships are granted each academic year, renewable for up to five years for doctoral students and three years for MFA students. Nominations must be submitted via InfoReady.
The GCF award adds $50,000 in funding over five years for doctoral students and $30,000 over three years for MFA students. These awards also provide a full tuition scholarship and subsidized health insurance coverage.
Please contact Graduate School Finance and Administration with any questions or concerns.
