Physics Summer Program 

Discover the wonders of physics at our one-week, hands-on program. Designed for high school students who have not yet taken a physics course, this engaging program includes exciting topics like Newtonian Mechanics, Light, Electricity, and Quantum Mechanics.

Dates: July 14 - 18, 2025
Application Deadline:  May 1, 2025
Application Instructions: Student fills out Applicaton Form (see below).  Teachers fill out Recommendation Forms (see below).  Students need to share the link to this page with the teachers who need to fill out their recommendation forms.
Cost: $650
Financial Aid: There are a limited number of partial scholarships are available to  applicants who are eligible for the Federal free or reduced lunch program.  Please submit a  letter, on letterhead, from an official at the school district or the letter you received stating that you are eligible for the free or reduced lunch program in order to be considered for a scholarship.  This letter MUST be included with your application.
Eligibility: Students entering 10th, 11th or 12th grade in the fall 2025.  Students with a strong interest and background in math and science are encouraged to apply. This camp is not for students who have taken physics.
Lab Hours:
Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 3:00pm
Friday 9:00am - 2:00pm

Housing: Housing will not be offered for Summer 2025

Each day, students will:
Explore fascinating physical phenomena;
Design, build, and test projects related to the day's theme;
Take measurements and analyze results.

Participants will experience hands-on interactive activities, indoors in our physics building and outdoors on our beautiful campus, as well as enjoy guided tours of cutting-edge campus facilities and research labs. 

The week culminates in a Family Showcase, where students will share their projects and discoveries!
