As of Fall 2023, I am a new PCLP peer leader and look forward to helping fellow graduate students navigate job searching within and beyond the academy. My own research primarily focuses on histories of water in its many forms, with a current focus on the rivers and wetlands of the Upper Mississippi River in the nineteenth century amidst Indigenous power and U.S. settler-colonization. As someone who transitioned careers from library science to academic history, I hope to help others navigate transitions between their own career paths.
