Dear Stony Brook Community,

As you may already be aware, there are currently worldwide impacts related to Microsoft outages which appear to be caused by a glitch with their cloud-based cybersecurity platform CrowdStrike.

At this time, Stony Brook University and Stony Brook Medicine are not affected and all of our systems to support regular university and clinical operations are working normally. However, there are global impacts being reported, including several airline groundstops, train delays, financial institution and banking issues and other critical infrastructure areas that have been affected.

We are actively monitoring the situation and assessing how the disruptions are affecting other campuses, vendors and our partners. Further updates will be sent as necessary.
