Retail Manager (Starbucks)
The Retail Manager of Starbucks will oversee the daily operation of the franchise, ensuring that all organizational and company standards are upheld in accordance with the mission and vision of Stony Brook University Medical Center and the Faculty Student Association.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree and minimum three (3) years Starbucks Management Experience to include supervision and training.
- Experience with cash handling and direct oversight of food production.
- Demonstrated creativity in retailing and menu merchandising.
- Knowledge and application of Part 14 NYS Sanitary Code, and knowledge of federal, state, and local codes and regulations pertaining to hospital food service.
- Exceptional Customer Service skills and written and oral communication skills.
- Computer Literate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Food Service Management, Hospitality Services, Dietetics/Nutrition, Health Care or Business Management
- Healthcare Retail experience
- Strong knowledge of budget process and ordering process.
Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for work schedules and for conducting meetings with those employees under his/her direct supervision in order to maintain high standards.
- Research and oversee the development of programs and promotions in the store.
- Enforce proper food portioning at all times.
- Develop and maintain a mechanism to evaluate and track customer satisfaction.
- On a daily basis meet with morning and evening lead associates to discuss and resolve any issues and changes.
- Review supervisor logs daily for staffing concerns, equipment/production problems and work assignment sheets.
- Check and document sanitation and cleanliness of the entire retail operation.
- Identify and implement measures to improve traffic flow and reduce lines in retail areas.
- Oversee the cash handling operations to ensure current policies are adhered to.
- Identify and make recommendations to improve the Retail operations.
- Resolve customer concerns as needed.
- Adhere at all times to staffing levels no higher than approved master staffing allowance.
- Other duties as assigned as appropriate.
