Additional content areas are covered by the online program, STAR-NY. This program covers additional areas such as economics, nursing math, and accounting. More information can be found here.
In addition to using ASTC services, students are encouraged to attend professor and TA office hours for extra support. If there is an associated Learning Center, Help Room, or walk-in tutoring service, you are encouraged to attend those as well. For more information about these additional services, please view Additional Campus Tutoring Services.
PLEASE NOTE: Tutors obtain a recommendation from the faculty member who instructed the course when they were enrolled. It is important for students to understand that their tutor may have taken the course with an instructor different from their own. Therefore, the ASTC does not guarantee that the tutor is endorsed by the current course instructor. In addition, the way in which course material is presented may differ depending upon who the current instructor is and thus may affect the tutor's ability to assist the student.
