Project Sunshine Event: Thursday, September 21
To all Faculty Student Association (FSA) staff members,
On behalf of the Stony Brook University Chapter, Project Sunshine would like to invite you all to our first SENDING SUNSHINE event for the semester, on Thursday, September 21st, from 7-9 PM in the HDV/GLS Center.
Project Sunshine is a nonprofit organization, with chapters on college campuses across the country. Our mission is to provide free social, educational, and recreational programming for children and their families as they face medical challenges. Our chapter is dedicated to volunteering in Stony Brook's Children's Hospital weekly, while also holding fundraisers and Sending Sunshine programs like these on west campus.
At our Sending Sunshine event, attendees will have the chance to learn more about our organization's mission, while assembling craft kits, which will be delivered to pediatric patients for their enjoyment. On the 21st, we will be assembling SUPERHERO craft kits.
If you wish to attend the event, please feel free to bring a friend, bring family; children of all ages are welcome. There will be food and drinks provided for a late dinner. All are welcome!
Please fill out the Google Form NO LATER than Monday, 9/18, at 12 PM noon if you wish to attend.
Thank you for your support of our organization. We look forward to getting to know you all better next Thursday night!
Sincerely,
Dan McCaffrey
