Budget Development
WORKING TOGETHER TO BUILD A STRONG FINANCIAL FOOTING
Stony Brook University's budget development process begins in December of each year. As individual departments, divisions and schools develop their budget forecasts, our team of experts works in tandem with each area to provide comprehensive oversight and assistance. Budget requests are presented to senior leadership at the start of the summer, and decisions regarding resource allocations for the University are communicated mid-summer. The BFP&A team then liaises with each of Stony Brook's unique areas throughout the course of the year to maintain budget targets and hit critical ROIs.
