Alumni
Stony Brook University Joined the National GEM Consortium in 2009 and welcomed our first GEM fellow in the Fall of 2010. Since then, Stony Brook is proud to have supported the successful degree attainment of four GEM Fellows:
Celest Okoli
2010 fellowship recipient, supported by Brookhaven National Laboratory. Celest received
his MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stony Brook in 2011. He is currently pursuing
his PhD in Materials Science Engineering at Stony Brook University.
Patrick Bynum
2012 fellowship recipient, supported by Brookhaven National Laboratory. Patrick received
his MS in Technological Systems Management in 2014. He is currently a Unix systems
administrator at Hewlett-Packard.
Daphne Meza
2012 fellowship recipient, supported by Brookhaven National Laboratory. Daphne was
a PhD level GEM fellow and is currently pursuing her doctorate in Biomedical Engineering
at Stony Brook.
Ammar Morgan
2014 fellowship recipient, supported by Brookhaven National Laboratory. Ammar is currently
pursuing his MS in Mechanical Engineering and is scheduled to graduate from Stony
Brook in the Spring of 2015.
