Thank you for your interest in Stony Brook University's SOAR Program ! Please read below for more information regarding the application process.

Program Dates: May 28 - August 2, 2024

 

Eligibility: 

• • Open to all SUNY undergraduate students majoring in a STEM field with a minimum 3.0 GPA. 

• • Applicants must have completed at least their freshman year; graduating seniors are not eligible. 

• • Applicants must be a first-generation college student or economically disadvantaged.

 

Application Checklist:

For best consideration, each of the following items must be received by the Center for Inclusive Education by the priority application deadline (March 29, 2024):

• • • A completed and signed application: online application link

• • • 1-2 page personal statement as described in Part VIII in the application, in PDF format.

• • • One Letter of Recommendation emailed by person writing the letter emailed to CIE@stonybrook.edu 

• • • One unofficial/official electronic transcript from each undergraduate institution attended
