The Department of Civil Engineering, within the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, offers an accelerated BE/MS program, an advanced graduate certificate, as well as graduate programs leading to MS and PhD degrees. The mission of these programs is to train the next generation of civil engineers to make significant discoveries, develop innovative technologies, and apply novel approaches to ensure the safety, resilience, and sustainability of our infrastructure systems.
Our Civil Engineering graduate programs provide a broad and rigorous curriculum, offering students the opportunity to pursue advanced studies in key areas of the field, including coastal and hydraulic engineering, environmental engineering, geosystems engineering, structural engineering and mechanics, and smart infrastructure systems engineering.
