Modern Circuit Board Design and Prototyping Laboratory

Usage: ESE 323, 440 and 441
This laboratory is used for the design, fabrication and testing of prototype printed circuit board designs utilizing surface mount components. 3D printers are available for printing enclosures and custom parts.
This laboratory contains six SMT soldering workstations, consisting of:
- Weller WX series soldering stations
- Hakko Desoldering stations
- Various hot air stations
- Omano CX3-OM10K Inspection Camera stations or Dino-lite microscope camera stations
This laboratory contains six electronics testing and design workstations, consisting of:
- Keysight Model DSO3012A 100 MHz Digital Oscilloscope
- Keysight Model 34401A or 34450A Digital Multimeter
- Keysight 3631A or E36312A Triple Output Power Supply
- Dell Optiplex Computer with Programming and Engineering software
Several workstations also have:
- Keysight Model U5855A Thermal Imager
- GW Instek Model COM-802 Milliohm Meter
- PCB Preheater
- Optical microscope with digital image capture
In addition, there are three Ultimaker 2+ Connect 3D Printers, two Makerbot Replicator Plus 3D Printers, two Manual Pick and Place SMT Assembly Machines, two Manncorp Precision Solder Paste Dispensing Stations, one solder stencil station, and a Manncorp MC-301N Reflow Oven.
