Credential Request Information for Working Journalists Covering the Stars of Stony Brook Gala

Thank you for your interest in covering the Stars of Stony Brook Gala. 

Press credentials for the Stars of Stony Brook Gala will be issued to working journalists only. In order to be considered for a press credential, you must represent a news gathering organization that produces and publishes original content.

General information for applying

•     Only working members of the media will be approved for media credentials
•      Must include links to three previously published/bylined reports
•      Only one request should be completed by each media outlet
•      If your request or media affiliation is unclear, an assignment editor or producer should provide documentation authorizing the request on company letterhead
•     All correspondence should be emailed to sbu_news_office@stonybrook.edu

Upon review and approval of all requests, a confirmation letter will be emailed to the approved applicant which will serve as a pass. Presenting the letter at the press check-in table at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers in New York City will permit entry into the Stars of Stony Brook Gala.

Media Credential Application Guidelines

•     Print/Broadcast Media –  Publications must have impressions of at least 50,000
•     Independent Journalists – Independent reporters/journalists/freelancers must have a documented assignment from an editor of a digital, print or broadcast                  publication
•     Photographers – Photographers must be on assignment from a news organization that meets the publication requirements listed above. All photographers  
       applying to cover the Stars of Stony Brook Gala are required to use professional photography equipment only.

Final decisions on all credential applications will be based on space available and the size, scope and circulation of an individual publication. 

Upon Approval
Journalists will receive a confirmation email. Please bring this email and a valid photo ID and media affiliation identification to be provided admission to the Stars of Stony Brook Gala.
