Computing Core

The computing core will manage the storage and computing infrastructure required to carry out data management and analyses required for IEDM thrusts 1-5. The only patient related health information involved in this effort will arise from the scanning in of whole slide images.  Whole slide images will be scanned in using the whole slide scanner; electronic methods will be employed to generate codes that will be linked to patient identity recorded on Pathology slide labels. The codes will be randomly generated with the linkage information stored by Research IT in a secure manner.  This will be carried out as specified in the current base TIES IRB protocol amended as necessary to cover the image acquisition and data management workflow.
