Extent,Scope, and Content Note The collection is comprised of 0.8 cubic ft. of correspondence, leaflets, and notes
reflecting Edith L. Gordon's presidency of the League of Women Voters of North Brookhaven,
NY, and advocacy of open housing, civil rights, and planning in the Town of Brookhaven,
N., as well as the consolidation of the Setauket and Stony Brook school districts
between 1963 and 1968. Gordon was a grade school teacher and community activist.
Arrangement and Processing Note Processing completed by Special Collections in August 2004. Fidning aid updated and revised by Kristen J. Nyitray in June 2019.
