As part of our commitment to preventing all forms of sexual misconduct, OEA has developed a suite of online training programs called ReportIt. ReportIt provides important information, includes useful resources and outlines Stony Brook University policy and procedures. If you are a student who is new to Stony Brook University or new to our campus and you have not completed ReportIt already, please do so by September 15, 2021.

Stony Brook University is committed to fostering diverse and inclusive learning and working environments that are safe, accessible and free from discrimination, including sexual misconduct. As part of that commitment, OEA wants to ensure that anyone who does experience or witness discrimination is aware of where to go to report an incident and get help. If you should experience or witness any form of discrimination, the Office of Equity and Access has a 24/7 website - www.stonybrook.edu/reportit - that allows anyone from the Stony Brook University community to report any incident of discrimination, including sexual misconduct from any internet connected device.

All members of the campus community are responsible for fostering an atmosphere that promotes equity, civility, caring, responsibility, accountability, and respect. Stony Brook University is responsible for and fully committed to to creating learning, working, and living environments that are free from discrimination and sexual harassment. Stony Brook University prohibits discrimination and harassment based on race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, religion, age, color, creed, national or ethnic origin, disability, marital status, familial status, pregnancy, genetic predisposition, criminal convictions, domestic violence victim status, veteran or military status, and all other protected classes under federal or state laws. University Title IX Coordinator
The University has designated a Title IX Coordinator, Marjolie Leonard who serves as Assistant Vice President of OEA, Title IX and ADA Coordinator. Ms. Leonard oversees the University's overall Title IX compliance efforts, which include, but are not limited to: investigating/responding to Title IX reports, inquiries and complaints, ensuring appropriate policies and procedures are in place, and conducting training programs for students and employees.
