• For those who completed a CITI Human Research course at another institution, how would a Stony Brook University learner merge accounts from a previous institution?

  You can add your SBU affiliation to an existing account that you registered at another institution. You must complete any additional trainings/modules required at Stony Brook University.

• What if you have multiple Stony Brook University CITI accounts?

  If you have accidentally created multiple CITI accounts at SBU:

  Contact CITI to transfer modules in common. Please contact CITI at support@citiprogram.org and include in your email:

  • Your name
  • Your Institution's name 
  • Member ID #, Last name, First name, and Username of the learner whose account you wish to keep
  • Member ID #, Last name, First name, and Username of the learner whose account you wish to merge

  The learner will need to complete the appropriate Stony Brook University courses by completing any outstanding modules applicable after merging the 2 profiles. 

• How does a learner pass the required training modules?

  A learner must score 80% or higher on every quiz within a training module to pass the training and receive certification. A learner can retake the quizzes as many times as necessary to obtain a passing score.
