Networking Event for Stony Brook Incubator Companies

On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, SPIR hosted a networking event at the Long Island High Tech Incubator (LIHIT).  More than 30 attendees from Economic Development, the Research Foundation of the State of New York, College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and companies from LIHTI, and the incubators at both the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center and the Center of Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology gathered to explore matters of mutual interest.  The event was positively received by all parties, and we were able to identify several promising matches with incubator companies to work on projects together.  Many of the attendees remarked that they would welcome the opportunity to meet again to further explore possible collaborations.  The event gave us the opportunity to share the capabilities of the SPIR program as well as the other programs that we have in Economic Development.  It also proved to be a wonderful team-building experience for all.
