Chris Tanaka Elected to Board of National LGBTQ* Higher Education Organization
Chris Tanaka ’07, ’10, Assistant Director of LGBTQ* Services, has been elected to the board for the Consortium of Higher Education LGBT Resource Professionals, a national organization that aims to advance LGBTQ* professionals in higher education.

The LGBTQ* Center is now open Sundays!
Introducing: Study Jam, happening every Sunday at The LGBTQ* Center. The Center, a 1,967 square-foot facility, includes a multipurpose lounge and a collaborative learning space for students to rest, study, relax with friends and make new connections. During the hours of 3 pm to 7 pm the space will operate under a quiet study environment. There will be chill music and built-in break times.

Diversity and inclusion were the themes on Sunday, June 24, for the 49th Annual New York City LGBTQ* Pride March, and Stony Brook representation was in full force for the festivities. This was the third time Stony Brook participated in the Pride March as members of the SUNY contingency.
