Subject: Make Your Vote Count - Early Voting Information

Dear Seawolves,

Tuesday, November 7 is Election Day and we want to make sure you are able to safely and successfully cast your ballot this election season!

New Yorkers have three options when it comes to voting – early voting, voting by absentee ballot, and voting in-person on Election Day.

The early voting period in New York State begins on Saturday, October 28 and ends on Sunday, November 5. Voters may visit ANY early voting location in the county where they are registered to vote between these two dates. Early voting locations and hours of operation vary across counties and may be different from your regular Election Day polling location. You can find the early voting locations in your county and hours of operation on the Vote Early NY website.

Please note that only those registered to vote with an on-campus address are eligible to vote at the Stony Brook on-campus polling location on Election Day.

If you are unsure of your current voter registration status and are looking to participate in the upcoming elections, you can check your voter registration status on theVoter Lookup website. To learn more about how you can vote early, the Center for Civic Justice will be celebrating National Vote Early Day on Thursday, October 26 from 12pm-2pm in the Pit Stop Commuter Lounge on the first floor of the Melville Library on West Campus.

If you are registered to vote out-of-state, you can learn more about the specifics of the absentee ballot process and deadlines for your state on the Rock the Vote website.

The Center for Civic Justice is here to support your voting needs. For additional information, questions, or concerns, reach out to civicjustice@stonybrook.edu or stop by our office located in the Stony Brook Union, Suite L-20.

All the best,
