Group Tutoring 

 HOW TO SCHEDULE A GROUP TUTORING APPOINTMENT: 

• Sign onto our online scheduling system, Navigate, and schedule an appointment as usual.
• Email TutoringCenter@stonybrook.edu with your appointment information AND a list of the students (up to 2 additional students) you would like to add to your appointment. *YOU MUST "cc" ALL GROUP MEMBERS ON THIS EMAIL.
• The ASTC will add your group members to the appointment via Navigate. 

OR

• Sign onto our online scheduling system, Navigate, and schedule an appointment as usual.
• Email TutoringCenter@stonybrook.edu with your appointment information AND let us know that you would like to open the appointment for other students in the class to book.

A peer tutor can:

• Provide guidance to group members as they review class material
• Help clarify course material and work through challenging topics
• Provide effective study tips and strategies

 A peer tutor cannot:

• Teach you new material because you missed class
• Help you "cram" for a midterm or final
• Work on graded assignments
