Master of Arts in Teaching: Mathematics

The Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics (HEGIS 1701) is a course of study leading to New York State certification for teaching Mathematics in the secondary schools (grades 7-12), with an extension option for grades 5-6. This program, offered in collaboration with the University's Department of Mathematics and the School of Professional Development, is designed for those who have little or no previous coursework in education or formal classroom teaching experience.
