Roundtable Discussion with President Maria Klawe

Maria Klawe, Harvey Mudd College President and recipient of the Computing Research Association’s (CRA) 2016 Distinguished Service Award will be visiting SBU on March 9th! Dr. Klawe is a renowned computer scientist and scholar, who has increased the percentage of female Computer Science majors at Harvey Mudd from 10 percent in 2005 to the current average of 40 percent! In 2014, she launched the BRAID initiative (Building, Recruiting And Inclusion for Diversity), which partners with colleges within the United States to increase the number of women and students of color majoring in computer science.
