We are less than a year away from moving into our newly renovated space in the Old Life Sciences Library, which is now called the Laufer Center. Features of this new space include a 45-seat multi-purpose room with state-of-the-art AV and Internet connectivity; 18 offices; a full-service kitchen, two conference rooms; and a 48-seat open area for graduate students.  The intent of the space is to cultivate the exchange of ideas across disciplines and to encourage forward-thinking. World-renowned researchers, both here at SBU and abroad, will be able to work together in this highly collaborative environment where they will have access to a wide range of resources. Construction is slated to begin in early 2014 with a move-in date proposed for late fall 2014. Below are photos of the layout for the individual spaces.
