WISE Students Visit IACS

Wednesday, March 29, 2017

Women In Science and Engineering (WISE) Honors program offers educational and professional science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) opportunities for undergraduate female students at the university by facilitating individual, institutional, and social change. This semester, two of our IACS graduate students from Physics and Astronomy, Donald Willcox and Maria Barrios Sazo are teaching a course focusing on computational science in astrophysics; an introduction to basic computation. On March 28, the group visited the IACS compute clusters LIred and Handy, which are housed on the second floor of the IACS building. The tour was led by IACS Systems Administrator Eric Rosenberg.
