Wolfgang Wander

Wolfgang Wander received his PhD in High-Energy-Physics from the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, in 1996. He then became the software coordinator for the Hermes Experiment, an internationalHigh-Energy-Physics experiment at DESY, Hamburg, Germany. Here he designed and operated the first PC based Linux cluster in High-Energy-Physics which was used for computationally intensive Monte Carlo simulations and the data-production of the experiment.  In 1997 he became a Research Associate as Scientific Computing Facility Manager at MIT's Lab for Nuclear Science.  Since 1998 Wolfgang Wander is a Member of the Technical Staff at Renaissance Technologies LLC in East Setauket, NY.
