Lynn Allopenna was hired in March of 2013 as the Administrative Director for the Institute for Advanced Computational Science. She has worked at Stony Brook University since 2005. Her position for the previous two years was as Assistant Dean for Postdoctoral Affairs. Before becoming Assistant Dean, Lynn worked as the Assistant to the Chair in the Materials Science & Engineering Department. Prior to her initial hire at SBU Lynn worked as an executive editor at Times Beacon Record Newspapers and as an administrator at Crown Publishing as well as at Bank Street College of Education in Manhattan.
