Founded in 2006 as the School of Journalism, we were renamed the School of Communication and Journalism in 2021.
Our Mission
The School of Communication & Journalism educates the next generations of communication, journalism and media leaders, practitioners, scholars and professionals.
It supports and integrates effective science and health communication research and practice, and explores, defines and strengthens the role of engaged communication in society.
Our Vision
The word's most complex and pressing problems require honest, inclusive, effective, fact-based communication. We envision a world that takes seriously the need for communication across all forms, platforms and institutions.
