New Seawolf Welcome is geared toward getting you acclimated to Stony Brook University and to introduce you to faculty, staff, and fellow students.

Placement Assessments

Upon entering SBU, new students will be required to take different placement assessments to ensure they are placed in the proper course. 

SBU Student Portal

All new first year students at Stony Brook University will participate in a multi-part orientation. New Seawolf Orientation is required for all new first year students.

ROME: Required Orientation Make-up Experience

Students who do not attend required programs during Welcome Week will be required to participate in the ROME.
