INDOOR AIR QUALITY

Indoor Air Quality, also known as Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ), is important to maintain a healthy and productive work environment. The quality of an indoor working environment can affect the performance, health, morale and productivity of members and guests of the University. All emergencies (smoke, fire, natural gas orders, etc.) must be reported immediately to University Police by contacting 333 from a campus phone and 631-632-3333 from any non-campus phone.

EH&S provides the following air quality-related services:
- General building indoor air assessments
  - Airborne dust
  - Carbon dioxide
  - Carbon monoxide
  - Dry bulb temperature
  - Relative humidity
- Mold investigations
- Moisture assessments
- Noise
- Odor investigations
  
  EH&S also has a remediation contract for disaster events such as flooding, mold, sewage, or fires. Departments may be responsible for the costs associated with remediation.
