HAZARDOUS MATERIALS AND WASTE

As part of Environmental Health & Safety, the Hazardous Materials and Hazardous Waste program is dedicated to ensuring the safe handling and use of hazardous materials and the disposal of hazardous wastes (chemical, biological, and universal) generated at Stony Brook, providing training and guidance to prevent injury and illness, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
