• WHEN TO CONTACT RADIATION SAFETY

  The Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Radiation Safety Office requires researchers to complete a questionnaire if any activities within their project are related to nuclear fuel-cycle and reactor technologies. The questionnaire is offered as an assessment in the Salute Safety Management System (SMS). Completion of the assessment provides resources, assists in determining declarable work, and allows for internal review by the Radiation Safety Office.
  Please contact the EH&S office at (631) 632-6410 or radiationsafety@stonybrook.edu for more information, to determine if your activities need to be reported, or to modify an exsiting assessment if the scope of work has changed.
