Indoor Air Quality
Environmental Health and Safety may conduct Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) investigations as requested. However, all requests for IAQs must initially go through: FIXIT
Some assessments investigations include:
- Taking measurements of carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide.
- Dry bulb temperature.
- Relative humidity.
- Illumination (lighting).
- Airborne dust.
- Observing mechanical ventilation.
- Air, bulk and water samples for microbial make-up (i.e., fungi and bacteria) can also be collected and analyzed at an additional cost to the requesting department. A summary report can be prepared.
