Our Positions
Campus Residences offers a wide variety of positions to fit different skills and interests. The three most common positions are Assistant Director, Residence Hall Director, and Area Office Manager. Whether you are looking to work in an office, interact daily with students, or take on a more administrative role, we have something for you.
Professional Development
Campus Residences and Residential Education have an extensive professional development program geared towards the development of all staff levels. This program includes various required and supplemental trainings & seminars; presentation opportunities; committee experiences; and potential conference attendance. The Department encourages it's staff to submit requests for their professional development in these various capacities. To assist in the selection and progression of each individual team members' development, we have developed a professional staff curriculum to guide them during their tenure within the department.
Other Opportunities
Staff members also have the opportunity to apply for tuition remission for classes within the State University of New York (SUNY) System. Many staff members have taken courses within the Higher Education Administration program to further their professional knowledge or work towards a certificate.
Many of our staff members serve as advisors for individual building councils. Many have taken on additional advising volunteering opportunities including: Alternative Spring Break Outreach (ASBO), Circle K, various Greek organizations, RHA, NRHH, The Happiness club, and many more.

Committees & Other Opportunities
Campus Residences boasts multiple standing committees which oversee a wide range of functions. In addition to these committees, staff can participate in special projects and working groups to further their professional development.
