At the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters, RSP holds hiring events. Applicants can apply via Handshake. RSP hires on a rolling basis as positions become available, please do not send unsolicited resumes.
RSP positions are field and early staff. As part of their patrols, Field Workers identify and report broken doors, propped doors, broken blue light phones, fire alarms, and potential threats on campus. Additionally, field workers assist with emergency situations on campus, working with the UPD, Fire Marshal, SBVAC, and other residential staff. When RSP walk requests are called, Field Workers are dispatched. Security officers are dispatched during the hours of 4AM – 8AM to assist with any emergency on campus. Early staff patrols residential buildings between 8 a.m. and 12 a.m. ensuring campus safety, serving the same role as Field workers. During emergencies, early staff works alongside emergency personnel (Fire Marshal, SB VAC, UPD). At special events like move-in, midnight breakfast, graduation, and others where crowd control is needed, early workers assist.
