Professional Training/Development Request for Funding





Overview: Within the University’s strategic plan, a key objective of ‘Reimagining the Way We Work’ includes Growing and Recognizing Our People … specifically, fostering a culture of innovation and performance excellence, expanding professional development opportunities, and creating capacity for our staff and faculty to thrive.

Finance & Administration has been approved for a fiscal amount of state dollars specifically designated for professional growth opportunities within VP15 areas. If there is a conference you would like to attend, a training course, a certification, a class, etc. these dollars can be used to support your professional development.  Please review the steps to apply, below.

Guidelines for Funding Requests:

    • Minimum request amount: $1,000 or more
    • Approval requirement: All funding requests must be approved by the Vice President of the requestor’s area
    • Submission process: Complete all required information in the form linked below related to your funding request. Once submitted, and you have received a copy of your submission, forward the email to your area's Divisional Business Coordinator (DBC).

    • Eligibility: Requests should be for professional development activities that directly contribute to the enhancement of skills and knowledge relevant to your area and the Division of Finance & Administration. As you finalize your funding application, please ensure that your professional development request aligns with the goals of Finance and Administration. By adhering to these guidelines and criteria, departments can ensure a smooth and effective process for securing funding to support valuable professional development opportunities.
