Professional Training/Development Request for Funding
Overview: Within the University’s strategic plan, a key objective of ‘Reimagining the Way We Work’ includes Growing and Recognizing Our People … specifically, fostering a culture
of innovation and performance excellence, expanding professional development opportunities,
and creating capacity for our staff and faculty to thrive.
Finance & Administration has been approved for a fiscal amount of state dollars specifically
designated for professional growth opportunities within VP15 areas. If there is a conference you would like to attend, a training course, a certification,
a class, etc. these dollars can be used to support your professional development.
Please review the steps to apply, below.
Guidelines for Funding Requests:

- Minimum request amount: $1,000 or more
- Approval requirement: All funding requests must be approved by the Vice President of the requestor’s area
- Submission process: Complete all required information in the form linked below related to your funding request. Once submitted, and you have received a copy of your submission, forward the email to your area's Divisional Business Coordinator (DBC).

As you finalize your funding application, please ensure that your professional development request aligns with the goals of Finance and Administration. By adhering to these guidelines and criteria, departments can ensure a smooth and effective process for securing funding to support valuable professional development opportunities.
