MISSION

Provide leadership and programs that promote a sustainable safety culture, and support the advancement of academic, research, healthcare and community activities of the University.

VISION

A strong safety culture where everyone feels responsible for demonstrating caring behavior with a commitment to safety. 

  • Hazards are anticipated, identified, evaluated and eliminated or controlled
  • Workers are trained and aware of requirements
  • Injuries and illnesses are prevented
  • Programs and activities comply with regulations

Councils AND Committees

Committees are an important part of our Environmental Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS).  Representatives from Environmental Health & Safety serve on a variety of committees, including those listed below, to provide technical expertise and guidance from various safety program areas.
