Where Do You Want to Go?
Given where you are, where do you want to go? Where would you like to be in the future? How do you hope your unit will change for the better? Thoughtfully consider what your unit is in the position to do, or achieve. We suggest organizing around the following themes:
Strengths - Positive features that differentiate you from other similar organizations - “What do we do well?”
Weaknesses - Internal areas of necessary growth or areas of concern - “Where are we falling short?”
Opportunities - Positive outside elements, areas ripe for optimization or innovation - “What could we take advantage of?”
Threats - Negative outside elements that are causing, or may one day cause, problems - “What should we be combating or avoiding?”
