University Police Department (UPD)

The Stony Brook University Police Department is a fully accredited law enforcement agency recognized by the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS). It is the primary law enforcement agency for the Stony Brook and Southampton campuses.

The University Police Headquarters located in Dutchess Hall on South Campus and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

For emergencies, on Campus call at 333 from campus phones or (631) 632-3333 from non-campus phones. For all off campus emergencies call 911 directly.
