Stony Brook University Financial Aid & Scholarship Services Office is thrilled to extend a warm welcome to you as you explore our university's financial aid resources. We understand that navigating higher education can be daunting, but rest assured, our dedicated staff are here to support you every step of the way.
Accessing Students Records
In order for parents to dicuss the student's financial aid record, the parent must be listed on the FAFSA application. If the parent or family member is not listed on the FAFSA application the student would need to be with the family member to discuess the student's account.
Students can grant Delegated Access to their Student Account via their SOLAR home page. Please view the Student Financial Services webpage on how to set up access and what information will be available to you.
Please Note: Delegated Access is to allow parents to view student account records for billing purpose only and not used when discuessing financial aid with our office.

Financial Aid Office has created a resourse for students and their families to help understand the basics of financial aid in a booklet that you can review.
