Mercury Free
Stony Brook University Hospital is striving to be mercury-free. The Hospital is committed to eliminating mercury-containing products. In the Hospital the following are mercury-free:
- Thermometers
- Blood Pressure Units (except some used for calibration)
- Switches
- Most Laboratory Chemicals
- Most Vaccines
If you find an old item that contains mercury, contact EH&S at (631) 444-6783 for pick up.
